About Yellow Door Pottery, and Teri

Working as a banker in the fast paced world of finance has driven in me a need to slow down and enjoy the simpler, quieter things in life away from my office. I have always been an artist and have worked in various mediums over the years; fabric, paint and photography. After being reintroduced to clay by my nephew Lee Fenner an amazing Potter, I realized I found something that spoke to my soul and I worked towards learning this ancient craft.

I produce items that intrigue and delight me. I hope they do the same for you. I find that using hand crafted items helps me appreciate table settings and service in a very new way. I am not looking to match everything, but instead think, is this food right for this vessel, and do they work well together.

My studio is in my home in upstate New York. When I am not dressed in a suit for work, you will find me up to my elbows in clay…my happy place!
